Bosphorus Bridge, Istanbul, Turkey
The Bosphorus Bridge, also called the First Bosphorus Bridge is one of the two bridges in Istanbul, Turkey, spanning the Bosphorus strait and thus connecting Europe and Asia (the other one is the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge, which is called the Second Bosphorus Bridge.) The bridge is located between Ortaköy (on the European side) and Beylerbeyi (on the Asian side). It is a gravity anchored suspension bridge with steel pylons and inclined hangers. The aerodynamic deck is hanging on zigzag steel cables. It is 1,510 m (4,954 ft) long with a deck width of 39 m (128 ft). The distance between the towers (main span) is 1,074 m (3,524 ft) and their height over road level is 105 m (344 ft). The clearance of the bridge from sea level is 64 m (210 ft). The Bosphorus Bridge had the 4th longest suspension bridge span in the world when it was completed in 1973, and the longest outside the United States. At present, it is the 16th longest suspension bridge span in the world. read more: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bosphorus_Bridge

Mount Nemrut, Turkey
Nemrut Dagi, Central-Eastern Turkey. 2000 year old statues at the altitude of 2000m built by Antiochus II (69 to 34 B.C.). He built a colossal funerary sanctuary dedicated to himself & to the Greco – Persian ancestors. Colossal statues of seated figures are Apollo, Zeus, Hermes and Hercules . The setting is impressive, with the peaks of high mountains spreading out in every direction. The heads are outstanding works of art, and in that setting seem as mysterious as the figures on Easter Island. The peak of Nemrut Dagi itself is capped by the great shrine and the undiscovered tomb of Antiochus I. Attempts to penetrate the secret of this great tumulus pyramid where the burial vault lies have been in vain. The east and west terraces are particularly interesting with their colossal statues measuring some ten meters high. The heads of the statues have fallen to the ground as the result of earthquakes.
