The Inside Passage

The Inside Passage also called Inland Passage, is a natural coastal route extending for more than 1,000 miles (1,600 km). The route extends from southeastern Alaska, in the US, through western British Columbia, in Canada, to northwestern Washington state, in the United States.

Alaska’s Inside Passage is a region of pristine water, snow-capped mountains, deep fjords and forested islands. With its mild, maritime climate, this area is prime habitat for bald eagles, sea lions, porpoises and whales. Continue Reading →
